Leslie Maaser has been teaching flute for over 30 years. She is the flute instructor at Denison University and previously taught flute at Wright State University, Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, Valparaiso University, and Luther College. She is Principal flutist with the Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra, where she is also the Education Director, and flutist with Ohio Capital Winds and Columbus Camerata. Leslie has performed with the Opera Columbus Orchestra, Columbus Bach Ensemble, Madison Symphony, Wisconsin Chamber Winds, Rochester Opera Theatre, and Rome Festival Orchestra. Leslie has her Doctor of Music degree in Flute Performance and music education certification from The Ohio State University, Master of Music degree in flute from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her Bachelor of Music degree in Flute performance from Michigan State University. As a research competition winner of the National Flute Association, she was selected to present her D.M.A. document at the 2002 National Flute Convention in Washington, DC.
