Constance Barrett

Constance Barrett holds degrees in cello performance from Baldwin-Wallace College and the University of Notre Dame, as well as the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Ohio State University. She has also studied improvisational chamber music with Grammy nominee David Darling. A sought-after musical director and collaborator who performs throughout the United States and Western Europe, she has appeared on national network television as musical director and cellist of Camaraterie Strings with such notable musicians as Prairie Home Companion's in-house violinist, Andy Stein. Connie teaches music full-time at Central Middle School in Greenwich, Connecticut. Specializing in chamber music and cello pedagogy, Connie has brought the Central Middle School Chamber Orchestra to Montreal twice for competition, with the group earning gold certificates and awards for outstanding instrumental ensemble on both occasions. |
