The Spring Weekend Festival celebrates its first series with the entire Cavani String Quartet, receiving an Ohio Arts Council grant to help sponsor the quartet. The Summer Festival is condensed to an intensive one-week seminar and is held at St. Mary Church, Delaware. |

The spring weekend festival is added to the Delaware Chamber Music Festival program with performance and teaching with Cavani String Quartet members Annie Fullard and Merry Peckham, along with Marcia Ferritto. |

The Delaware Chamber Music Festival is founded by Deborah Price, Artistic Director, at the urging of Delaware natives Erika Eckert, founding member of the Cavani String Quartet, and Amy Eckert, Erika's mom and respected string teacher. The two-week long summer program, structured around the study of chamber music, finds its first home on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University. |
