An element of music education
often missing in the training of young artists is the opportunity
to work directly with professional mentors in rehearsal and performance
settings. The Conservatory Series Concerts display the extraordinary
talents of young CMC students in a dazzling series of performances.
Concerts feature students performing with professional musicians
and highlight advanced students performing in ensembles. These concerts
give fortunate audiences a breath-taking glimpse of the new talent
being trained at the Chamber Music Connection.
The 2004-2005 Inaugural Season was a huge artistic and pedagogical
educational success. Playing side by side with professional musicians
inspired and motivated students to immerse themselves in the music
and perform at their best. For these students it was a musical dream
fulfilled.
The Chamber Music Connection is an independent music program funded
through a combination of tuition and donations. Conservatory Series
expenses include coaches, on stage professionals, concert venues,
staging and printed announcements, posters and programs. Concert
costs range between $2,000 and $4,000 depending on the concert format.
Our goal is to sustain such an experience by making this concert
series an annual event.
You will find the emotion of hearing these students perform at such
a high level of professionalism unforgettable. Do yourself a favor
and attend, but most importantly, do the students a favor and help
us provide financial support!
