CMC offers programming year round. Most sessions are offered in Worthington, Ohio, and include both small group coachings and chamber orchestra rehearsals.
General Programs
For students of all ages and abilities, any instrument. No audition required!
Fall and Winter Friday Programs
All inclusive chamber music for any age and instrument. Program includes small ensemble and chamber orchestra coachings by local and national professional musicians/teachers, guided rehearsals, special workshops/master classes, dress rehearsals along with finale concerts. All coaching sessions take place at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
- 4:00-5:15 PM – Session I – Coachings and Rehearsals
- 5:15-5:25 PM – Break – Fellowship (Snack Shop Open)
- 5:30-6:30 PM – Chamber Orchestra Coachings
- 6:30-7:45 PM – Session II – Coachings and Rehearsals
NovemberFest!
All-inclusive program for any age and instrument. Program includes small ensemble coachings by local and national professional musicians/teachers, guided rehearsals, and dress rehearsal along with finale concert. All coaching sessions take place at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Cover Tune Workshop
The Cover Tune Workshop is a unique 2-3 day program, open to all ages and levels, includes large ensemble jam sessions, musicianship skills class & combo sessions with opportunities to learn how to “chop” and create cover tunes with others in a small ensemble setting.
Spring Festival
Registration includes 3 Friday Prep Sessions plus a Friday and Saturday festival of programming. Students study and perform in small ensembles and are coached by local and nationally acclaimed musicians, such as the Cavani Quartet, while connecting with peers through chamber music.
Summer Festival
Includes small ensemble and chamber orchestra coachings and master classes where students study with local and nationally acclaimed musicians, including special guest artists. The week also includes several levels of musical workshops. Students enrolled in their school’s summer school program should contact the Artistic Director for information about enrolling in just the afternoon portions of the festival and/or honors programs. All coaching sessions take place at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Summer musical workshops:
These workshops are held within the regular festival programming.
- iSTEM: A supplemental course focusing on improvisation, solfège, theory, eurhythmics, and movement, which form the foundation and the “stem” of free musical expression. iSTEM introduces students of all ages in ways to develop greater musical understanding.
